General questions
What is Toolsy Hub?
Toolsy Hub is a set of 29 free online tools for text, code, images, PDFs and money. Everything runs in your browser, with no sign-up.
Are all tools really free?
Yes! All our tools are completely free to use. There are no hidden costs, no subscriptions, and no registration required. You can use any tool as many times as you want without any limitations.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You don't need an account for any tool. Open the tool and start using it.
Is my data safe?
The text, files and passwords you put into a tool are processed in your browser and never uploaded; there is no server that receives them. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are used, which records things like pages viewed and your rough location, not what you type or upload.

How accurate is the word counter?
A word is any run of text between spaces that contains a letter or digit, so "e-mail", "U.S.A." and a link each count once. It counts Urdu and Arabic words and sentences, including the ۔ and ؟ marks. Reading time assumes 200 words a minute and speaking time 150.
What text case formats are supported?

What JSON formatting options are available?
It pretty-prints, validates and minifies JSON. When the JSON is invalid it tells you what is wrong, and where when the browser reports a position.
How does Base64 encoding work?
Base64 turns bytes into plain ASCII text so they can travel through text-only systems. The tool encodes text to Base64 and decodes it back, including emoji and non-English text.
What hash algorithms are supported?
MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512 and SHA3-256, for typed text or a file. You can also paste an expected hash to check a download.
PDF and photo tools
Can I make a photo smaller than 20 KB or 30 KB for a job form?
Yes. The Image Compressor squeezes a photo under an exact KB limit, and the Photo & Signature Resizer also sets the exact pixel size, with presets for FPSC, PPSC, NTS and passport photos.
How do I get a PDF under 200 KB or 500 KB?
Use Compress PDF, tick Target max PDF size and pick the limit. To combine several documents first, use Merge PDF, or JPG to PDF if you only have photos.
Are my documents uploaded when I merge or compress a PDF?
No. PDFs and photos are read and rebuilt by your browser. They never reach a server, so CNIC copies, degrees and bank statements stay on your device.
Pakistan tools
Which tax year does the salary tax calculator use?
It uses the FBR salary slabs for tax year 2027 (July 2026 to June 2027) and also shows tax year 2026, so you can compare your monthly tax with last year.
How does the zakat calculator work out nisab?
It follows the Hanafi rule used by most people in Pakistan: the silver nisab (52.5 tola) when you hold any mix of cash, gold, silver or goods, and 7.5 tola of gold by weight when gold is all you have. You enter today's rates per tola; it adds your assets, takes off debts due now and shows 2.5% if you reach the nisab.
