Privacy policy

This policy covers Toolsy Hub at www.toolsy-hub.com. The short version: what you put into our tools stays on your device, and the only tracking on the site is Google Analytics, which counts visits.

What you put into a tool

Every tool runs in your browser. The photos and PDFs you compress, the text you format, the passwords you check and the salary or zakat figures you enter are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us. We have no server that receives them, so we cannot see, keep or share them. Closing the tab clears them.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to learn how many people visit and which tools they use. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information such as:

  • the pages you view and how long you stay;
  • the site that sent you here, such as a search engine;
  • your device type, browser, screen size and language;
  • your rough location (country and city), which Google works out from your IP address;
  • page speed measurements, so we can find slow pages;
  • which tool you started using, and whether you copied a result or downloaded a file from it. For a download it records only the file type, such as PDF or JPG, never the file name or what is in it.

It does not receive anything you type or upload into a tool. We see these numbers only as totals and cannot identify you from them. Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, an ad or tracker blocker, or by turning off cookies for this site. Every tool keeps working if you do.

Cookie consent

For visitors in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics starts with cookies off. Google works out the country from your IP address. If your browser is also set to a European time zone, you see a cookie banner on your first visit. Until you pick, no analytics cookies are set. If you choose Reject, none are set; Google Analytics may still send a cookieless ping that a page was viewed, with no ID that links your visits together. If you choose Accept, it sets its usual cookies. Everywhere else, analytics cookies are on by default.

This works through Google Consent Mode, which tells Google Analytics what you allowed before it records anything. Advertising storage is off for everyone, because the site has no ads. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel logs requests (IP address, browser and the page asked for) to keep the site running and secure. See the Vercel privacy policy. Fonts and tool code are served from our own domain, so opening a page does not contact any other company apart from Google Analytics.

Advertising

There are no ads on the site today. If we add them, for example through Google AdSense, we will update this page before they go live. Ad networks use cookies to show and measure ads, and this page will then explain how to turn off personalised ads.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your address.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to outside sources, such as fatwas, tax notices and job portals. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information about them.
