How do I reverse text?
Paste it in and keep Reverse all text selected. The whole text is written from the last character back to the first, so Hello becomes olleH. Emoji and accented letters stay whole instead of breaking into pieces.
What do the four modes do?
Reverse all text flips every character. Reverse words keeps each word as it is but reverses their order on each line, so I love Lahore becomes Lahore love I. Reverse lines turns a list upside down. Reverse sentences puts the last sentence first.
How do I reverse the order of a list?
Put one item on each line and choose Reverse lines. The last line comes first and each line's text is left untouched. It is a quick way to turn an oldest-first list into newest-first.
Does punctuation move when I reverse words?
No. Punctuation stays attached to its word, so Hello, world. becomes world. Hello, and a number like 3.14 stays in one piece.
Is this the same as mirror or upside-down text?
No. The letters keep their normal shapes and only their order changes. Mirror and upside-down text swap each letter for a flipped look-alike symbol, which this tool does not do.
Can I check whether a word is a palindrome?
Yes. Reverse all text and compare: racecar reads the same both ways. Capitals and spaces count, so for a phrase like Never odd or even, remove the spaces and make it lowercase first. The Text Case Converter can do the lowercase part.
Why does reversing sentences put everything on one line?
The reversed sentences are joined with single spaces, so line breaks between them are not kept. Use Reverse lines when the line layout matters more than the sentences.
