Turns each page into a compressed image. Big savings on scans and photos, but text can no longer be selected or searched.
Quality goes down only as far as needed to fit. Each form sets its own limit, so check the limit on your form and enter it here.

How many pages fit in 100 KB
We measured it with this tool on a test scan: A4 pages of 12 pt typed text, scanned at 150 DPI, about 400 KB a page, the size a phone or office scanner makes. Every file from 1 to 12 pages came out under 100 KB, but to fit, the tool lowers the resolution of each page, and at 100 KB that shows quickly.
1 or 2 pages keep the full 150 DPI and look like the original. 3 pages drop to about 120 DPI, still sharp, and 4 pages to about 96 DPI, which reads easily. At 5 or 6 pages they fall to about 77 DPI: readable, but soft. From 8 pages they drop to about 61 DPI, and 12 pt text gets hard to read.
So 100 KB suits a short document: one certificate, a CNIC copy, a two-page letter. For anything longer, check whether the form takes more than one file, send only the pages it asks for, or use a higher limit if the form allows it. Photos and colour scans take more of the 100 KB than grey text.
100 KB here means 100,000 bytes. Some upload forms count 1 KB as 1024 bytes and allow 102,400 bytes; a file under 100,000 bytes passes both.
How to compress a PDF to 100 KB
- Drop your PDF on the box or click it to choose one. Target max PDF size is already ticked, with 100 KB picked.
- Click Compress PDF. Each page is turned into an image and its quality goes down only as far as needed to get under 100 KB.
- Check the new size and how the pages look, then click Download. If the text came out too soft, keep only the pages you need with Split PDF and compress again.
Frequently asked questions
How many pages fit in a 100 KB PDF?
About 2 scanned A4 pages stay fully sharp, about 4 still read easily, and 5 or 6 read but look soft; from 8 pages small text is hard to read. We measured this with this tool on typed A4 scans at 150 DPI.
Can I still select the text after compressing to 100 KB?
No. To reach 100 KB every page is saved as an image, so the text can no longer be selected or searched. The Keep text method on the Compress PDF page keeps text selectable, but it only re-saves the file and almost never brings a scan near 100 KB.
Is 100 KB 100,000 or 102,400 bytes?
This tool counts 1 KB as 1000 bytes, so the file is at most 100,000 bytes. That also passes a form that counts 1 KB as 1024 bytes, which allows up to 102,400 bytes.
Should I use 100 KB or 200 KB?
Use the limit your form gives. If it lets you choose, 200 KB keeps twice as many pages sharp: about 4 scanned A4 pages instead of 2, in our measurement with this tool.
